Chef by day, kangaroo by night.
Adam Went to school at Le Cordon Bleu in the Twin Cities and Scottsdale and received his bachelor’s in Restaurant Management. He has worked in and ran several kitchens in the Fox Valley including The Seasons, Bella Vita, and now the KangaRoost.
“KangaRoost is a great medium for any chef. The opportunity to work with many great local providers while turning their creations into my own makes coming to work each day a blast. The creativity can never stop here.”
Bongers Family and Friends
This will be the sixth year that Julie Bongers and her family have sponsored a Rebuilding Together Fox Valley Project Day house. They call their sponsorship “Bongers Family and Friends” and it truly is a complete family and friend effort. Each year the Bongers team brings together 60 of the most helpful people they know to volunteer on Project Day. Julie and her daughter Jackie serve as Team Leaders; sons Mike and Greg, and some dedicated friends are Task Managers; and before his death in 2012, Julie’s husband Dan was the Project Manager for their houses.
In addition to Rebuilding Together Fox Valley, Julie also volunteers at St. Elizabeth Hospital, is Co-Chair of the Kaukauna Health Associates’ Babysitting Clinic, and serves on the U.S. Venture/Schmidt Family Foundation Board. She is a past committee member of the Basic Needs Giving Partnership Grant Committee, and a former board member of the Sexual Assault Crisis Center.
